In our endeavor to expand our product line, we're introducing affordable touch devices targeted at emerging countries. These products have been meticulously crafted to operate seamlessly on low-resolution, low-powered, and energy-efficient devices.
The affordable smartphones are equipped with screens that are much smaller in size compared to modern touch phones. This presents a design challenge, as we must carefully consider the layout and proportion of elements within the user interface to ensure optimal usability.
Many of our target users have little experience with touch devices. To address this, our design approach focuses on simplicity and intuitiveness. By prioritizing essential elements and minimizing complexity, we aim to create an interface that is easy to navigate and understand.
Taking the keyboard as an example, I conducted surveys on several existing examples from Sony, iPhone, and Google.
